Diabetes is one of the fastest growing diseases in Canada and around the world. In fact it is estimated that almost 3 million Canadians adults and children have diabetes now or are at serious risk of getting it.
 
Diabetes is a chronic, often debilitating and sometimes fatal disease, in which the body either cannot produce insulin or cannot properly use the insulin it produces. This leads to high levels of glucose in the blood, which can damage organs, blood vessels and nerves. Early diagnosis and proper management of diabetes can be done to improve the health of all diabetics.
